Nineteen played today on a calm, cool morning. Pistes 1 and 2 were very muddy at the ends so play was slightly restricted. We played 1 x 6; 2 x 4 and 1 x 5 with the uneven numbers. The players who played five had a very enjoyable game despite the uneven numbers.
Nigel, who played with different partners in the 'five' group amassed the max. 52 to move into a slight lead over Mike. Four more competition days left in 'Competition D 2019'.

It's good not to have to walk far for the next end!
Thanks to Tony, Mike, Maeve, Yvonne, Dave and John for coming to the new Alden Park facility to introduce a group of locals to the game. Most Saturdays over the winter we will have introductory sessions as we broaden the appeal of the game. Any support is welcome but not expected. Interesting to play on a different surface.
