A beautiful Autumnal morning. Twenty two played today....the most players ever. Considering the time of year and a couple unavoidably absent we nearly had a full house. Reminder.... that if we have more than 24 players the last players to join the Wednesday Boules Group might have to step aside. Unlikely to happen but nevertheless possible.
Mike remains in the lead on 148 with Nigel, who alongside Eileen and John scored 45 today, is chasing on 134.
All are agreed that the Pistes are very fast and the surfaces needs upgrading as they are too hard-packed and smooth. We will bring a proposal to the Parks Section with a view to an upgrade.The new pistes in Alden Park have a looser, grittier surface that is more akin to the surfaces on the the Continent.
