All Quiet on the Eastern Front!
We had free play today with eighteen players. Drizzle brought an end to play after noon. We tried to retire to Olives Room but both inside and outside tables were taken. Kitty and a few of us went to Insomnia in Clontarf instead. We may have to try to reserve a table during the summer holiday period. We'll ask at least.
Next Sunday we'll have the Bastille Day event from 2 pm to 4 pm with casual boules, nibbles and a 'verre de vin'. Kitty and Sheila hope to be in attendance. Come with a little French Couture!! We'll be there from 1 pm to set up flags, bunting. table etc. Bring a picnic chair if you want to be sure of a seat. We hope to introduce the game to others during the session.
We'll collect 5 Euro each before the next session starts to defray costs of inscriptions etc. Tony has floated the idea of casual play on another morning. Mornings might be problematic but perhaps an evening might suit better. at least across the Summer months. New players and existing players could be accommodated. We'll garner interest over the next week in any event.
